Thought River Support and Data Controls
Email support@thethoughtriver.com for help. Thought River is a wellness practice, not therapy, treatment, diagnosis, medical advice, crisis care, or emergency support. If you may be in danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services, a crisis resource, or a trusted person who can help now.
Guest River data
A Guest River practice works without an account. Guest thought labels and River state stay on the device unless the app asks you to use an account feature and confirms a successful save. Open the River menu and choose Clear saved thoughts to remove Guest River saved thoughts. Deleting the app or clearing app storage may also remove device-local data.
If the app says a save is pending, reconnect and reopen the River so it can retry before clearing local data. If the issue continues, email support with the approximate time, app version, and any non-sensitive error ID. Cover or remove thought labels from screenshots.
Account access and recovery
Account features may save encrypted labels, structured practices, private Thought Journey history, and factual Trends to the signed-in account. To restore account data on another device, sign in with the same Apple, Google, or verified email account and wait for account readiness.
For email accounts, complete email verification before signing in. Use Resend email after the displayed countdown if a verification message is delayed. Use Forgot password? to request a reset. For privacy, these responses may not confirm whether an arbitrary email address has an account.
If a sign-in method collides with an existing account, do not create another account to work around it. Email support with the sign-in method, approximate time, and non-sensitive error ID. Never send a password, authorization code, identity token, provider token, or complete verification or reset link.
Access and export requests
Email support@thethoughtriver.com from the address associated with the account. Do not include thought labels in the first message. We will verify account control and explain the available export of account profile information, current River records, structured practices, private History, and factual Trends.
Release and Thought Journey deletion
Releasing a thought removes it from the present River. It does not delete a history entry that was deliberately registered in Thought Journey.
To delete one History entry, open it in Thought Journey and choose Delete this history entry. To remove all private History, open Account and profile, choose Clear private history, enter the displayed confirmation phrase, and confirm. Clearing private History does not delete the account or current River thoughts. Deleted history labels are destroyed, while content-free deletion records may remain until account deletion so an offline or older device cannot restore them.
Account deletion
Open the River menu, choose Account and profile, choose Delete account, enter the signed-in email exactly, and confirm. Account deletion is irreversible. It removes the account, authentication records, sessions, River content, private History, structured practices, calculation records, push devices, and attributable first-party account analytics as described in the Privacy Policy.
Where available, Thought River requests Sign in with Apple authorization revocation. A temporary provider failure may require a limited encrypted revocation record until that request succeeds. An offline device cannot receive a remote deletion signal until it reconnects. Signing out or completing deletion on that device clears or makes its local account cache inaccessible.
Guest data that was never saved to the account is not part of account deletion. Clear Guest River data on that device separately before deleting the app.
What to send support
Send the app version, device model, approximate time of the issue, whether the data was local, pending, server-confirmed, or restored on another device, and any non-sensitive error or request ID. Do not send thought labels, screenshots containing labels, passwords, provider credentials, authorization codes, identity tokens, complete verification or reset links, encrypted payloads, or database information.
